These items will be used throughout experiments, lessons, and small group activities to engage students. They will assist in creating a positive classroom environment where students learn how to think like a scientist, make mistakes and learn from them. Each item will be used to expand students critical thinking, through hands on development. The whiteboards will allow for students in small groups to write down their thoughts, but easily change them without needing paper. It will allow myself as the teacher to provide quick feedback to the whole group, and comment on what the group is doing well at. The posters will serve as a tool to remind students of what they have learned, that can be easily refered back to throughout lessons. The bulletin board items will serve as a tool for me to create vocabulary boards to assist students throughout the curriculum. With your help, my students will have the tools they need to expand their scientific learning this school year.
