My Students

Students at our middle school come from diverse backgrounds. With over 70% of our students on free and reduced lunch, they come to school with a broad range of challenges. Students and community members are unique in the fact that they take pride in their community and support each other. Often the people of Barberton who are born and raised here choose to stay here.

My Project

There are many qualified teachers creating materials using their knowledge, experience and skills. As I am teaching a new content this school year due to remote teaching, I am constantly looking for materials to supplement my course. Rather than create all the materials myself, I would greatly appreciate being able to purchase materials from a qualified, experienced educator. This not only helps the students get quality materials in their hands but also ensures that I have adequate time to do other important aspects of remote teaching. Teaching remotely is a challenge, compiled with it being a new content and not seeing other educators face to face everyday can certainly add to that challenge!
