My Students

Our school believes that all students are capable of reaching their full potential by providing a safe environment, differentiating instruction, holding our students accountable, and empowering our students in the classroom and beyond.

My classroom consists of two different cohorts of students, who will be working in person and remotely throughout the week.

Second grade begins a new chapter in the life of students. They are becoming more independent individuals who are quickly learning new skills. My students have funny, entertaining personalities, and they never cease to amaze me daily.

My Project

These book titles will allow students to be exposed to diverse characters that they will be able to use as windows and mirrors into who they are and allow to them learn about other people. These books can be used for read aloud or for students to read independently. They will expose to them to boys who like to dance, girls who like to build, and a variety of other situations that will provide them the chance to make connections and grow their ideas.

These books, the puzzle, and the headset will lead to continued success for my scholar's in the classroom.

The puzzle will be located in our classroom peace corner and can be used as a way for students to deescalate when they are feeling negative emotions. The use of their hands will give them the opportunity to destress, get back on track, and continue to have a successful day.

The headset will amplify my voice this year, which will be especially important while we adjust to being in school with masks on. Students need to be able to hear my clearly, while being socially distanced in the classroom.
