Getting Our Hands Into Math

Help me give my students math tools, math manipulatives, and headphones to help support their learning.

My Project

Children are visual learners and some students need more focused help to understand a concept. My goal is to help my students learn math skills through practice using tools and manipulatives.

Some math concepts can be difficult for some students to master but when they have the tools they need, understanding is the next destination.

Giving students manipulatives lets them see the math, not just as numbers, but as a concrete concept that they can build on. This will lead to success in the classroom. My computer lab doubles as my math intervention room. The headphones will help all of our students as they work educational programs like iReady and IXL or complete tasks they have been assigned.
