Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students learn agency and independence when they are able to store and retrieve their own materials in the classroom. These tools will help us to get organized and start the year off right.

Students will be excited to see their names on their mailboxes and their newly decorated cubbies when they arrive in their classroom in the fall.

They will learn to put their finished work in their mailboxes, and to get the materials they need from the storage caddies. They will also organize the books that they are reading in the classroom and the ones that they are bringing home to practice. They will practice their handwriting and math facts using erasable plastic page covers, and will improve their fine motor skills with a class set of scissors.
