My students attend a Title I, K-6th grade public elementary school in Indianapolis, IN. We are piloting rotations for the first time this year so I am able to teach all 116 6th graders in the building. I specifically teach science.
My students are very excited to dedicate time to science this year, which they have not experienced much of in the past.
They are incredibly hard-working and curious. As 6th graders, I am constantly blown away by their drive and determination to learn as much as they can and do their best.
My Project
This semester, students have the wonderful opportunity to partake in Project Lead the Way Gateway. Through this program students will learn about computer science and code Micro:bits. My students are ecstatic and ready to explore a wonderful part of the STEM world.
These organizational tools will set students up for success by storing their projects (which include many small pieces) and having them easily at hand when they come to class each day.
As 6th grade students, now is the time to solidify those organizational skills and to practice responsibility for materials. Please consider donating in order to assist with the development of these skills.
