Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working as a school-based occupational therapist it is my responsibility to foster students’ skill acquisition to participate in their school environment. Many of my students have visual tracking difficulties causing it to be more challenging for them to perform meaningful activities (occupations) such as reading and writing required for their role as a student.

It is my goal to provide them with engaging and purposeful activities to improve their skills to function in a school environment.

With items such as Short Story Sequencing Grades 1-2, Logic Puzzles for Kids Ages 4-8: A Fun Educational Workbook, Working Memory Activities, Lakeshore Sequence & Write Story Tiles, and Visual Tracking Exercises: Visual Perception, Visual Discrimination & Visual Tracking Exercises for Better Reading, Writing & Focus, they can improve their visual perceptual skills by using these solar system-themed items.

My students are hardworking and I want to do anything and everything possible to provide them with all the materials they need and enjoy to make their school-based occupational therapy experience constructive, enjoyable, and meaningful.
