Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is an inner-city middle school, where supplies are extremely difficult to obtain. The students that I teach work extremely hard and take their learning very seriously. They thrive in math, as they are honors classes. It would be nice to be able to supply them with materials they need to make custom interactive math notebooks, so they can take ownership of their learning. They would use their notebooks to glue in diagrams and foldables. In addition, this would provide them with the organizational skills they will need to continue thriving in high school.

My Project

With the return to in person learning, I want my students to thrive this year! With the Mead Composition Math Notebook, my students would be able to take neat and organized notes throughout the school year.

The notebook that I chose for my students to use comes with a build in table of contents page, which would enable my students to keep track of the date, topic and page number.

In addition, it has excellent space for gluing math foldables and a section that has graphing. It also comes with a built - in folder that my students can use to keep important handouts and reference materials.

With this interactive math notebook, students would not only take pride in their notes, but they would have made clear and organized annotations to study from every night. Review in preparation for an exam would be a breeze.
