My Students

Students in my school are at a disadvantage. Our school has no gym space and the yard we usually use in now covered in construction equipment for new windows in our building. Students have use of basketball hoops and very little running space. Please help us maximize this space with new equipment.

Our students range from kindergarten to fifth grade.

These students are in need of sports supplies and equipment to learn new games and get active. The kids enjoy running around at recess, but need to learn how to be team members and work together for a common goal. Unfortunately, these students have very little physical time, without a gym and 3/4 of their yard space taken away.

My Project

I am asking for two packs of balls for the students to learn organized games such as basketball, volleyball, and soccer. The students will learn how to play as a team, as well as simple rules of each game. With the track and field pack and the bowling set, students will learn how to compete against themselves, trying to improve individually. Both of which can be used indoors within our hallways on rainy and cold days when there is no use of our outdoor physical space. Students will learn how to be creative with their space, and spark their own physical journeys with limited space which all of these students face as a challenge both in and out of school.

Students will have the opportunity to begin their healthy lives with physical education. An overwhelming majority of students in the USA are overweight, a fate our school is trying to avoid for our students.
