My Students

Students with ASD are fascinated with electronics. My students are eager to read. Giving them the ability to connect their love of reading with their love of technology might be the the missing link in their success!

My students have Autism Spectrum Disorder.

They are in a self-contained class in a middle school setting (Grades 6-8). The students in this program range in abilities from non-readers to readers. They are excited to come to school each day. Most of the students come from low economic homes.

My Project

Using a Kindle Fire to inspire them to read electronically will open the world up for them! The Kindle allows books to come to life. They love to interact with stories and the Kindle can actually read to them if needed! There are also many free apps for communication and learning that can be added to the Kindle!

By making a donation to support this project, you are making a difference in the life of an exceptional child!

These children work hard every day in all academics as well as daily living and social/behavioral skills. Make them feel that what they are doing is paying off!
