Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a NYC public elementary school that specializes in helping Autistic learners succeed. I am an occupational therapist who strives to make learning fun and accessible to all of my students. Most of my students are visual learners. My autistic learners are super motivated by the use of visual instruction as well as structure, routine, and predictability during their school day.

It would be extremely beneficial to be able to make customized color visuals to help keep my students motivated to do their best in therapy.

In addition, my students would love to be able to print out pictures of their work in color, make colorful posters, use color photographs of themselves in projects, etc.

Having a color printer has been a dream of mine since I started working at my school. I have so many great ideas ready to go as soon as this project gets funded. Please consider donating to this project as my students are so deserving! Every little bit helps. Thank you so much!
