I am a third grade teacher working in Brooklyn. I have 25 students in my class and I am trying to create a cozy atmosphere for my students so that they will want to read more. If you love to read, you know how important it is for children to read. As a teacher, I am solely responsible for creating a classroom that provides an area that looks inviting to children. I am also helping three new teachers set up their classrooms. I would like to provide the students with a cozy area that has a few bedrest pillows. The students will be able to snuggle up in the reading corner with a book and enjoy a leisurely reading time. I would like my students to feel warm and cozy in the classroom while still learning. Having the right atmosphere for children to learn is key to developing successful readers. I know I can provide the books for the students; now I just have to create a place in the classroom where the students will want to go and spend time reading. I know that children would be so excited just to sit in their new cozy area that they will come ready with a book in their hand. I would like to set up the cozy corner for three students to sit in comfortably. In addition, I would like to provide the other three third grade teachers that I work with the same three bedrest pillows for their reading area. All of our classes have 23 or more students. That's a large amount of students that would benefit from a cozy reading corner. We would need a total of 12 corduroy bedrest pillows. Please consider how much this would mean to these third grade students to have a place in the classroom that they can call their own. Help me to make a cozy haven for my readers. Thanks!
