Getting Connected To The World With An iPad

My students need an Ipad to get connected and see more of the world. It will enable our class to explore and learn more about the world around us.

My Students

In a given day our class will explore math, go on adventures with words, and explore the world around us. Students will be able to use the many apps on the iPad to explore and gain deeper understanding of math, literacy, and science concepts.

My Students: In our classroom we love incorporating technology into our learning.

We strive to be tech savvy learners and to connect what we study to real world applications through student led activities, blogging and research. The challenge is having enough devices in the classroom for student use. I have 23 amazing, intelligent students who love learning and creating their own classroom community through technological collaboration. We come from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds and being exposed to technology in the classroom. I have students who struggle academically but are empowered by having the ability to share their thoughts and ideas and students who are gifted that use technology to push themselves and find ways to challenge themselves.

My Project

My students will use iPads in the classroom to research individual questions as well as create and share their ideas. What an incredible world we live in where students can research their own authentic questions and have answers in seconds. Another iPad in our classroom will give more opportunities for students to challenge themselves and research their own answers with the use of this technology. It will be easier to allow all students to get the technology in the their hands.

An iPad in our classroom will facilitate individualized learning activities, student collaboration, exposure to technology, and real world application concepts learned throughout the year!
