My Project

The Comfy Sherpa Chairs are for a reading corner in my kindergarten class. Last year, my students lay on the rug to read and it's very distracting for them and the other students in the classroom. Having comfy chairs in a designated area will cause less distractions and encourage more students to choose a book and have a seat in a relaxing area.

These hands-on manipulation sets will enhance students' creative and critical thinking skills during center times as well as during their free time.

From previous years, I've noticed students love to create things they think about to show their friends and teachers in the classroom. They love to "create" their imaginations and to show-off something concrete of what they are thinking. Having these sets will also help develop and strengthen my students' fine motor skills.
