Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a PK teacher in a Title I campus which serves a majority of students that come from low income families. All my students are at different levels of the learning stages as for many it is their first year in school. I do my best to differentiate everything in the classroom to accommodate their learning development and maturity. My students are always eager to learn on a daily basis and are excited to show me what they know. I love to see the products of what they create because that shows me that I am making a difference in their lives.

My Project

The carpet and easel will be of great use for carpet time. This is where much of the teaching and learning is done. I will be able to teach whole group lessons in which students can be able to interact with one another, have a place for music and movement and have a great learning experience. The easel will be used to teach students visually as I write and draw what I teach. I will be able to use magnetic manipulatives so students can have a better understanding of what we are learning.
