My Project

The year in which students are expected to make the biggest strides in learning to read independently is second grade, and the best way to ensure that happens is by having them read as much as they can! One my biggest goals this school year is for all my students to fall in love with reading. To do this, my focus is on my reading corner. I would love to add more books, floor cushions for flexible seating, a calming blue pocket chart and more to utilize while in the library!

I want to give students access to fun age appropriate books and a library that is inviting to encourage my students to want to sit and get lost in a great book!
