My Project

Every year, I want to create a space that will make my classroom feel welcoming and inviting to students. This year, as I transition schools, I want to continue providing resources for students to succeed.

I am asking for help in obtaining these items for student that will make the space comfortable and create joy for them.

I am asking for a rug to be placed in my reading area to help provide comfort. I am also hoping to place a cellphone lock box in my class so that students will have the opportunity to have a distraction free environment.

While this is my first year at my new school, what I have learned from previous students is that they enjoy feeling as if time and effort has been put into creating the classroom environment. I will be teaching both personal finance and ACT Prep. Both subjects can increase the stress for students, as both are geared toward focusing on students’ futures. I believe that a comfortable space has a positive impact on student well being.
