My Students

We want to take the technology off the wall and put it into the students' hands!

My students are an amazing group of third graders from New York.

Last year my students suffered devastating losses when Hurricane Sandy took their homes and their school. This year our mission is to put the terrible storm behind us and help students catch up on the valuable time they lost learning content and provide moments for them to be just kids.

My Project

We are blessed to have a terrific interactive white board in our classroom. A ton of time is wasted however as the students travel back and forth from the board to their seats. If we had the ActivSlate, they could have access to the technology on the wall while sitting at their own desks! This tool would also enable the most timid of students to participate fully in all the lessons without having to leave their seat and stand in front of the room.

Our goal this year is leave the Hurricane's devastation behind us and focus on the children's learning and growth.

The best way for us to do this is to place the technology they so desperately want and need, into their little hands!
