Students in our classroom come from many types of homes. Our school is placed on the outside of a major city. We are the oldest school in our district, the smallest, and the one who seems to always get the bad reputation that has been layered on for many decades. However, my kids love their school and their friends. This is their home. They have a zest for life! Their smiles are contagious. We are a family no matter what. That is the environment we create together in my class so that we can deal and get away from the harsh realities of home. My students deserve all of the essential tools to learn just as others do. We are a Title I campus which means almost all of my students require free or reduced lunch assistance.
My Project
Get Your Teach On is an AMAZING and inspiring conference that gives all teachers a chance to give their students an engaging experience.
Many of us teachers NEED that pick me up after the end of a long school year.
This conference left teachers I know empowered and ready to take on another year. This conference is focused on engagement and creating the magical experience for our kids.
This conference is what I need in order to keep up with my 1st grade learners who need more dynamic lessons to stay motivated and excited about their learning. The cost of this conference also covers a lot of online and tangible resources I do not have access to in my current school. Many conferences do not provide you with actual tools and REAL examples of how to implement creativity into your lessons.
My students will benefit immensely from me attending this conference because they will be more engaged. My students always reference memorable moments in our classroom. That is what I live for.
