Pre-K for All is a program within the New York City Department of Education that provides all four-year-olds with full-day quality education. Pre-K for All gives children stronger reading and math skills.
My site is a Pre-K Center exclusively dedicated to Pre-K students.
We are located in Brooklyn and have a diverse population.
We have a center-based learning model. The students learn by engaging in purposeful play while teachers engage the students in meaningful conversations.
In my program, we like to provide lessons that are interactive so the children can learn by doing.
My Project
Post pandemic I have noticed many students struggling and are behind on their gross and fine motor development. The trampolines can help students with their gross motor skills. The trampolines can also be used as a calming opportunity for students who might become frustrated or who are experiencing “big feelings.” The fine motor sets will help students strengthen their fine motor development. The calming cubes are a great addition to our classroom cozy corner. They can help.children regulate their emotions while in school. These materials will help my students get their motors (skills) going.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
