Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing my students with their very own chapter books will help to increase their self-confidence and self-awareness, and foster an interest in learning and understanding other points of view.

By giving them their own books to read, they will be able to read and write well means that my students can make sense of how they're feeling, express their thoughts and emotions, and seek support when needed.

Research has shown that children who read literary fiction are able to explore the inner lives of characters which in turn show a heightened ability to understand the feelings and beliefs of others around them.
