My Project

I have a wonderful class of 18 students. Many of the students enter our class as first time students. They are curious and love to come to school daily. However, due to use of iPads, many of our students are deficient in the area of fine motor skills. They have poor motor control.

The use of specialized crayons and clay can help them immensely!

Through using these items during the school day our children will gain the hand and finger dexterity to be able to write strongly in Kindergarten and older grades.

These materials also help our neurodivergent students with their sensory needs. The different textures will keep many children calm while working on their much needed gross and fine motor skills. Kinesthetic sand, clay and Theraputty have multiple uses in our classroom. As many parents give children an iPad so young many children are missing these must needed skills in order to be successful in the classroom.
