This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students at my elementary school are hardworking, motivated students who love to learn and explore in the library. My school is a Title I school, which consists of students in grades PreK-5th grade. My school also hosts many special needs program, including programs for students with specific behavioral needs and mental and physical handicaps. Hands-on, meaningful learning is key to learning with all students, but especially those who may not get these opportunities at home. Donating to my project will mean the world to so many of my students!
My Project
My students LOVE reading and they often ask to check out scary books. The Eerie Elementary Series will be a loved series in our library for sure!
If you donate to this project, you will put books in the hands of students that they want to read.
Books will be added to the library collection and will be enjoyed by my students for many years.
This series will also appeal to the younger students, who are just starting to read chapter books, and struggle to read the typical scary books that are already on the library shelves.
Thank you for considering our project as I make it my goal to get kids reading books they love!!!
