My Students

My students come to school to learn and I need to make sure that I know every possible way to reach them. They look for and desire to explore, determined to find an experience. They are beginning to understand the wonderful experience a good education can offer!

I teach in a Title I school where 100% of the school receives free lunch.

My students live in a high poverty area. Access to literacy and supplies are key to their success, and such access begins and ends within our school walls. There are many things they will never be able to experience in real life that, with your help, I can offer. Please help me expose them to as many experiences as possible!

My Project

I am asking for registration, airfare, hotel and meal money in order to attend the national Get Your Teach On conference in San Diego this summer. This conference is known to get teachers excited about teaching and help them come back with fun, new and engaging teaching strategies. The conference is filled with ideas that can be applied to nearly every subject area.

As a first grade teacher this is something I will be able to use with my students on a daily basis.

I have been teaching for 15 years and this is something that can help increase my strategies and elevate every area of learning for my students making it much more fun and engaging.
