My Students

Our student athletes are competing at the highest level of athletics, while being challenged at the highest level of academics. Right now they are weight training in a very outdated weight room, and I would love to see them working with the top of the line equipment that they deserve.

Our school boasts one of the most diverse demographic breakdowns in all of NYC schools.

Our student athletes come from all across the city and some have to travel well over an hour to get to and from practice. We are lucky to have the most dedicated, passionate, and ambitious student body that New York has to offer.

My Project

Being a small, academic focused school, it is easy to forget how competitive our sports programs are. With the proposed equipment, we will be able to give our student athletes the equipment that they deserve to use and could truly benefit from. Right now the hard work is there, but without the proper equipment, their training can only take them so far. We are competing against schools that have college level training facilities, and that puts our young boys and girls at a disadvantage from the beginning. I would love to see what these kids can accomplish once we level the playing field.

If we are able to raise enough funds to get our student athletes this new weight room equipment, they will finally be able to train at the highest level.

This will immediately impact not only their performance, but also their personal health. With childhood obesity such a widespread problem, any opportunity to turn a child in to a life long believer in personal fitness should be taken full advantage of!
