Students in Med 101 (our high school biology class) possess high expectations of themselves and the class. Whether we are completing dissections, labs, or making up Photosynthetic rap songs we're always learning. I prepare my students for college by practicing reading and writing with them. Unfortunately most of my students cannot afford supplemental books like "The Hot Zone." This book by Richard Preston tells the dramatic story of a virus outbreak and will excite my students both about science and literacy. Please help make Louisiana students excited about reading and college!
