Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at our elementary love the library and they love to read! Our middle-grade students (grades 3-5) especially love to read graphic novels. The combination of comic book-style illustrations and relevant storylines is very attractive to new readers!
This project will supplement our graphic novel section and complete popular series that students are clamoring for in the library!
The titles requested in this project have been requested by students over and over again. They are the titles that fly off the shelves and cause squeals of joy when a student finds them available in the library! This joy is what hooks young readers and connects them to a book in this digital age. It is thrilling when the library collection is able to match the needs and desires of our students, and this project will help us do just that!
