Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach kindergarten students at a high-poverty school in New York City. My students are curious and have a great thirst for knowledge. My students do not have many learning resources at home and are faced with many challenges inside and outside of the classroom.

Despite these many challenges, I want to provide them with a classroom full of technology.

This is so important for a technology filled society that we live in and it can benefit my students so much.

My Project

My students love working on the computer, whether they are making a project or writing a story they wrote. They love seeing their work on the computer screen. They are capable of picking up skills and running with it to create great presentations. Our only problem is that we share computers with the whole school and their work can get deleted or lost.

The students work in Powerpoint and Word and I would love to be able to save their work on flash drives.

The flash drives will allow the students to safely save their work without worrying about it getting deleted or misplaced when the computers are being used by others.
