My twenty-four energetic kindergarten students keep me working hard! I teach a full-day kinder class at a high-need school, serving students of low socio-economic backgrounds. Despite these barriers, my students are enthusiastic and strive to do their best.

Although academics play a crucial role in preparing my students' educational success, I feel arts and crafts is also an important component in a well-balanced curriculum. In my teaching, I try to incorporate arts wherever possible: literacy, math, science, and social studies. However, with the budget cut, supplies at our school are limited, making teaching and learning less creative for the children and me.

Kindergarten is a fun and exciting year for children to explore their imagination. I love seeing my students paint and create craft pieces that relate to other subject matter. Our paintbrushes are dried and falling apart from years of use. We would love to have new paintbrushes of different sizes and watercolor paint to go along with it. As for crafts, we need wiggle eyes, buttons, and tacky glue to continue creating engaging craft activities.

Your generous donations will enhance my class and all my future students' learning experiences. They will definitely make use of it just as I will in my instruction. My students will have fun painting and making crafts. I deeply appreciate any donation that you can give in making this wish possible.
