My Students

Our German language learners are interested in learning about the environment and about caring for the earth. Students at our school are learning German and created a German soccer league to compete with other language learners and promote student wellness.

We have multiple levels of German students in the middle grade age range.

Students come from mixed socioeconomic backgrounds and learning abilities. Having physical materials helps students that are hands-on learners and helps them retain more of the language. Students practice to improve student health with at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day.

Students in our classes have been taking German for one to three years and are working to increase their proficiency. They are newer learners and preparing for high school and career decisions.

My Project

Our German Soccer team needs to practice with great equipment and meets together after school. They need soccer balls and jerseys for soccer games. Students play against teams from other languages and learn about German culture and speak German.

Our school has several teams put together of German language learners.

Students will meet together and practice and improve individual fitness. We matched teams based on skill and allowing more students to learn soccer. Donations to our project will help students have team uniforms and German soccer balls which promote team pride. Since all of the members of our team are German speakers, we would like Germany-related soccer balls and jerseys as well as gloves for our goalie.
