Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are serious computer scientists in the making! My Mobile Apps students are highly motivated and passionate about technology. In our class, we learn by doing and experimenting with code. Programming can be frustrating, however, we fine-tune our skills with every "bug" in our program. We are learning useful skills to make us well-rounded technologists.

We are on our way to getting certified as Microsoft Office Specialists; 75% of those who took all three tests in our last cohort reached this goal.

We are getting job-ready and preparing to be leaders that will make tomorrow a better place to live.

My Project

Touch-free dispensers reduce the spread of germs and encourage others to stay clean without worrying about exposure to more germs.

A study found that "flu-like diseases lead to around 38 million absences per year in schools" and having these resources will keep our students in a school where they can best develop their academic pursuits.

Currently, our sanitation station consists of a sanitizer bottle on a desk and I have to say, that even, I myself am discouraged from using it because it requires pumping the bottle.

We need your help! Since we have returned to school, practicing healthy habits is crucial. This touch-free dispenser will allow our students to sanitize their hands and prevent the spread of infections which will severely hinder their education. During and after covid-19, we will make great use of these resources to help our students stay healthy.
