My Project

My students are brave, creative, and hardworking. The students that this project will impact the most is in Pre-K through 2nd grade. The reason is because our little scholars like to touch everything, which passes germs

I teach at a Title I school.

All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are from low income homes. Some move around a lot or live with relatives. School is the only stable environment that some of them have. They want to learn and do better.

Covid, common flu and allergies keep our students sick at home and not in school where they need to be in order to learn. These illnesses cause me as the librarian to be on high alert to maintain procedures to keep our students and staff safe in the library. The problem is that the supplies have to be replaced on a regular schedule and that cost alot of money. The listed materials will assist with social distancing and cleaning. The Lysol wipes will allow students to keep their supplies and personal areas clean in the library. The Kleenex tissue allow the students access to proper materials to clean their noses when needed. The library is a large room and the push broom will allow me to be more productive in cleaning the floor daily. The hand sanitizer gives the students options when they do not have access to soap and water to wash their hands. The Lysol spray allows me to disinfect commonly used areas between classes. The air fresheners allow the library to smell inviting for students to visit after I have cleaned.
