My Project

I teach over 180 students in Algebra and Geometry. Geometry has many real-life applications where students participate in interactive activities and create projects to show their understanding of math concepts. The supplies asked are for students to use including calculators, rulers, tape, colored markers, and pencils. The project include creating animals using recycled materials and determining the surface area and volume of those figures.

In addition to classroom resources, my students with accommodations could use the standing desk and yoga ball options to allow for movement while working.

Social-emotional learning is a key component of students' success in school especially in a math class where additional stress can occur for several students. The stress balls will give students the opportunity to destress and decompress from current stressors.
