Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using the workshop model for small group instruction in math, we are able to support students in smaller groups for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. What becomes a problem is the fact that our classrooms have very limited whiteboard space. When working with students in a small group setting, it is challenging to showcase student strategies or work out math problems in small groups without a whiteboard.

Additionally, our classes are in need of geometry tools for geometric constructions and exploration of geometry theorems.

Our class also needs a heavy duty hole puncher to support students with learning organization systems and inserting math documents, reference sheets, and student work in their folders/binders.
