My Project

The use of whiteboards will be a great way to incorporate more group activities in the classroom, especially in a geometry class. My students love to leave little notes or drawings on my whiteboard, so being able to give them the opportunity to do math problems on their own mini whiteboard will increase student engagement in the classroom.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their work when they aren't just solving problems on a worksheet with a pen or pencil in their hand.

The use of whiteboards will also be a great for independent practice and for quick group responses. Students would be able to do their work at their own pace, and then raise their boards for me to take a quick glance, give them a thumbs up or a little head shake no, and then they will either move on to the next problem or try that problem again. This would be a faster way for me to check students' answers and give them the go to move on instead of having them wait for me to get to them as I move around the room working with other students.
