My Project
Our school serves a diverse population where 70% of students are minorities and over 65% receive free or reduced lunch. To enhance the learning experience for English learners, we seek funding to purchase project supplies, including clay, construction paper, and organizational materials. These resources will allow students to engage in hands-on geography projects that foster creativity, deepen understanding of global cultures, and support language acquisition through interactive and visual learning. By providing these materials, we can help bridge the learning gap for our minority students, many of whom may lack access to these resources at home.
This project will also serve as a valuable tool for addressing stress and anxiety among teens.
By incorporating creative and tactile activities like crafting and model-building, students will have a therapeutic outlet that encourages relaxation and emotional regulation, while simultaneously enriching their academic experience.
