My Project

Genius Hour is an inquiry based, student-directed learning concept that allows students to dive into a topic they are passionate about and learn more about. Genius Hour allows students to research and explore their topic for a certain amount of time during class. It gives the students the capability of creating a project that they are interested in while also giving them the opportunity to learn about their passion in their own unique way, without their teacher's jurisdiction.

With the help of a powerful speaker, the students will be able to hear their peers share their passion projects through video and essentially learn more about each other.

They will think about that topic and focus on creating their project based off of ideas within in it that they still wonder. This gives them the opportunity to think about open-ended questions which leads into their need to research. Once their research is finished, they will create a video explaining their project. This video can include poster boards, people, inventions, etc. Genius Hour is a perfect concept to help students gain more confidence in their learning while also giving them the chance to have fun and share with their school community.
