My Students

"Yay! Technology time!" is usually the response when students at my school come to my class! I love hearing them and seeing their smiling faces ready to code, learn and share! In a low income neighborhood technology is treat to them because they do not have access at home.

My students are eager to learn, ready to be challenged and have fun through learning.

That is what makes me "kids" so special despite hardships and challenges they may face at home, school especially my classroom is a trauma free and learning rich environment.

My Project

As the students come into school in South Jamaica, Queens, they escape from their harsh realities of homelessness, family substance abuse and more. This STEM lab will allow them to escape those realities and learn through play and creation.

BB King said "The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you."

These items on my wishlist will allow an open ended array of activities that will ignite their imagination, creation, discovery and so much more. They will be coders, creators, builder, scientists and future leaders!
