My Students
My 1st graders live in NYC and come from a variety of backgrounds. I have students from many different economic backgrounds, and we all come together as one in our classroom. My 1st-grade classroom is a place where students are equals and respected. Our school provides many opportunities for students to thrive in arts, physical education, and academics.
I'm looking to refresh some items in my classroom before students start in September.
I would love to start the school year with our classroom ready to go for the new year!
My Project
My students love to use computers. We use online programs for reading and math. We need to get some new headphones for a new school year. The students ask to play these reading and math games during their free time. They love them! Another Chromebook will get even more students on the computer each day.
I also know that some of my new students may focus better with noise canceling headphones.
They help to block out noises of other students reading.
Finally I'd like to get some sand timers. First graders don't yet have a great understanding of time, so these sand timers help them to see the amount of time they have to take a break, read, or play with a friend.
