Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is made up of children from diverse backgrounds, predominantly Hispanic underprivileged children who are new to the United States. They are curious and always have smiling little faces. I am hoping to enhance my classroom with these much-needed items. The cost of school supplies are out of reach for most of my financially-strapped families.The items in this project will allow students to begin the school year in much more welcoming classroom. For example, we are in desperate need of an electric pencil sharpener. Students last year used their hand-held sharpener which became a distraction since not everyone had one and students had to share. In the process, pencil shavings fell to the floor and it became a big commotion. I would like to establish a sharpening pencil routine, which will help students remained focused on their learning. As far as the Teacher pay Teacher website, the posters and charts will help my students so I can lower prep time and unlock more learning time.
