My students come from all walks of life. We live in a small rural community that does not have a public library. Many students who enter my classroom don't have books at home that they can read to themselves. Most of these students do not have the privilege of parents reading to them nightly.
Although they have some adverse circumstances to overcome, I am sure they will be successful in my classroom and they will be hard little workers.
They will develop the love of reading in my classroom and carry this love over for generations to come.
My Project
My students have 3 desktop computers within the classroom that has to be shared among 24 students. By adding more computers to the classroom it will allow more students to be able to access learning programs for struggling learners and logic games for all learners.
All students need a growth mindset, and I feel that if my students had continual access to programs that will challenge their thinking in a fun and educational way then they will begin to grow their mind.
These computers will be utilized to help all students from the struggling learner to the gifted learner. It allows the student more access to programs and experiences.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
