Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For my students, materials such as pencils and writing process folders will support their process while writing class. The use of a whisper phone will also support their learning of the written English language as they use the writing process folders to help guide them. The writing folders will also support my students by guiding them through their writing process. These materials will support them through their gardening and healthy living program. Students will be able to read gardening books and learn all about the joy of growing their own produce. After reading they can put their new skills to use through hands-on experience as they plant and watch their plants grow. Through the entire process, students will document the process and write about their experiences. Headphones will allow my students to research different plants and gardening and listen to text online comfortably.

These materials will allow me to further differentiate the learning needs of my students and promote further engagement and achievement of their goals.

With your help, I would be able to apply a key factor in removing the learning barriers that exist for my students and provide them with the support they need.
