This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are in need of some garden tools for our school garden. It has been a while since we have been out there do it having difficulty getting water to the area. We now have the equipment to get water to our garden. It is now time to get our garden back in shape to plant in it. With the shovels we will be able to dig our plots up, get the big weeds out of the area and move soil. With the hula hoe, we will be able to get the other weeds and continue to make the area look nice. The trimmers will be used to trim our pomegranate trees and blackberry bushes.
We need to get our garden looking nice and inviting again.
It was so nice to be able to go out and enjoy the surroundings and see what our hard work did. With these tools we can get that back. This garden teaches our students responsibility by having them have to take care of the plants and keep the area nice. It teaches them how to grow their own food. Both of these things have lasting effects on our students.
