My Students

We are a PALS (Preschool for All Learners) Special Day Program classroom at Blythe Elementary School. We serve 8 special education eligible children under kindergarten age with moderate to severe needs. Our classroom meets Monday through Friday for 4.5 hours daily. We enjoy our preschool curriculum and love being in preschool. Speech/Language and Adapted Physical Education services are embedded through the daily classroom routines and instruction.

My Project

Our special education pre-school students will welcome the coming spring by planting their own flowers in the garden bed. We will count the seeds and chart the weather and growth of the plants. We are learning to count, read graphs, and make measurements. Concepts related to financial literacy; counting on and learning values of numbers will be essential in our learning unit on plants. Our students will learn the growth cycle of plants using different measuring tools. We need the garden bed to facilitate this project. We will appreciate your generous donations to our classroom.
