My Students

The vibration that our students are surrounded by needs to be lifted. Our young children overhear the news, parent conversations, media, and the list goes on. That is why creating a SAFE, exciting, analytical, innovative, tolerant classroom is my mission.

My students come from all over the world.

The level of diversity in my classroom is arguably one of the most diverse in the world. My students are Black, White, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Mongolian, and the list goes on. I am eager to create safe and unifying experiences that can engage both their minds and social abilities. These children differ academically, economically, racially, linguistically, and culturally. We all have so much to learn from each other's differences and have to do our part to keep each other safe.

My Project

If my students receive these gardening tools and supplies there is an immeasurable impact that will be made on both the curriculum that I teach and the life skills that my students will learn. Students will be able to be actively engaged in the gardening process. Usually, we have so few tools that students have to do another activity until it is their turn. Not only will these tools increase engagement, but the science behind gardening will come to life.

Students will be able to get first hand knowledge of growing herbs, vegetables, and composting.

Inevitably, this can lead to a happier lifestyle and self sufficiency.
