My Project
My students want to learn, they want to get smarter, and they want everyone to know just how smart they are. However, cookie-cutter curricular activities just don't cut it. Today's 21st-century middle school students love themselves some friendly competition.
Gamified learning experiences are culturally responsive and exactly what our 21st-century, technologically savvy students need to make learning fun, engaging, motivating, and harmlessly competitive.
My goal for these buzzers is to create engaging learning competitions at the end of each week to capture ALL my students' thinking and understanding in a way that is immediately gratifying to their souls. Whether they are new to our country, students with disabilities, or multi-language learners, seeing their names on a screen accumulating points for having illustrated the learning they've held onto each week is something that they will never forget.
