Gamifying Biology: Interactive Review Games and Content Reinforcement

Help me give my students an interactive gaming experience and flash cards to review their Biology content knowledge. The classroom posters will help reinforce concepts and growth mindsets in my new classroom.

My Project

These Biology review materials will help my students to engage with the curriculum in an interactive and fun way. The games will also give my students an opportunity to practice team building and social skills. I primarily teach freshmen in the Academy of Health & Sciences and experiences like this help student acclimate to high school and meet new peers.

Since I moved classrooms this year, I am in need of aesthetically pleasing posters to reinforce concepts and growth mindsets.

The index cards will be cut into 1/2s and 1/4s and provided to students as a way to learn the vast number of vocabulary terms in Biology. Students will also be encouraged to review the cards as they accumulate to retain the content and prepare for the mandatory standardized End-of-Course exam.

Ms. McDermott will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 18.
