Our new fourth graders are very active learners and need to be challenged. The girls are outnumbered 4 to 1 this year. Teamwork and cooperation is our goal.
Students can learn so much from each other.
Hands on and cooperative group activities will help to keep everyone working together.
I teach in an urban school district. Class sizes have grown over the years and our classes have students of all abilities in them. Student engagement with group work is necessary to meet the needs of all the children.
My Project
My students would benefit from a variety of logic games that will keep them thinking. Games such as Code Master Programming, Lego Chain Reactions, Gravity Maze Marble Run Logic Game, and Rush Hour Traffic Jam Logic Game will lead the student to figure things out on their own or with partners. We will use the games in centers and during our enrichment time.
Students will have fun trying to solve puzzles, come up with workable solutions, and then comparing the ways they solved the puzzles with partners.
They'll enjoy the challenge. These games will help to lay a good foundation for our future problem solvers.
