My Project

After my first year of teaching Guidance class, I learned how the students learn best and where they could benefit from some extra work! I am looking forward to kicking off the school year by helping our students turn their brains back on, be ready to learn, and to create a community within their classroom units.

Using games in Guidance class is a great way to have students engage in the topic of the lessons, with their peers, and use their skills in the moment!

This project, full of games, will be used in lessons throughout the year in class to monitor growth, demonstrate skills, and to build community! At the beginning of the year, students will use the Brain Builders to turn their brains back on from their summer breaks. In October, they will use the board games to work collaboratively and kindly with their new classmates; and so on.
