My Students

My students and I are blessed to learn at a beautiful, rural school in South Carolina. While the outside may look like your typical elementary school, you will quickly feel the difference once you walk through our front entrance. We are on the positive energy bus. My students are learning that they can drive their own "bus" by creating a positive vision and "driving" with a purpose. They are learning to transform their negativity and "fuel their ride" and others with positive energy!

While many of my students have faced obstacles and challenges in and out of school, they are learning the power of positive energy!

We celebrate success as a classroom family and encourage each other to try our best every day. If you entered our classroom, you would hear us excited to learn by shouting, "Yes, Yes, Yes" and cheering our classmates on with our Energy Bus Cheer, "You're Awesome, You're the Best, You Rock!" We have worked hard to create a positive, supportive classroom family where all students are encouraged and supported to try something new. My students love to learn and share their learning with others. It is truly a great place to learn!

My Project

This year has been one of the wettest years on record in the south We are so used to be able to spend many days out in the beautiful South Carolina sun but this year we have had to be creative during inside recess. My students have enjoyed coloring, building with blocks and LEGOS but they are starting to get bored with these options. I want to provide my students with 2 sets of engaging games that will also help boost their understanding of numbers!

My students would love the option of playing classic board games on days when Mother Nature forces us to enjoy recess inside.

With your help, I will be able to provide my students with sets classic board games that maybe you grew up loving and playing too! The sets include Trouble, Chutes and Ladders, Connect Four and Candy Land. Not only will these classic games allow my students some free play time with their peers but will also keep their brains working as they strengthen their understanding of numbers. With your help, rainy days can be fun days too!
